My friend and I ordered swords at the same time. within 10 minutes of using them for the first time a big chunk broke off the end of the sword. After about a half hour three chunks had broken off. After that it was fine, but a tiny chip at the end is the only damage my friend's sword received. They are also heavy and take getting used to. Overall they are are pretty nice weapons.

one of mine cracked in half after a month of light contact. They are nice and cheap, and have good aesthetics.

I found these weapons to be very nice. I've worked around the traditional kumdo dual wielding, so I dual wield with two of these and I found them to be extra strong. I sparred a friend full contact with these. He was using a Bo staff and I found them to be perfect. The swing weight is realistic and length and durability of the bokken is extremely high. Although there were a few minor dents, probably because my friend was using a metal staff, I found them to my liking. I would recommend these to anyone, The price is unbeatable and worth every penny.

I am very pleased with this product. I have ordered at least three of these bokkens. They are superb and I would recommend them to anyone. I prefer them immensely over the white oak bokkens.

Now bare with me; not only do I use these to train, but to mess around. I love this product, good weight (could be lighter), awesome durability, and can take 1 heck of a beating. But if u go a little over bored you will leave dents and possible chips and splints into them so they are not to be fooled with. I personally would like a bokken with smaller handleand not so heavy. Overall a good bokken.

Hey it maybe heavy but mine has yet to show any abuse. Just as good as the white oak with a bit more weight on it.

I purchased this bokken and was not disappointed. The Bokken is heavy and very solid. Great value for the money. The look and feel is similar to much more expensive ones.

Bought this as my first bokken and got four at once. They arrived faster then the email said it would, which is a plus. when I pulled them out, I thought they were a bit heavier than 2.25 lbs, but not too big a difference. I love these things, and bought some for my bro, which he loves too. Great item!

I purchased several of these bokken, and I test-handled each one before distributing them. They tend to vary in weight and balance. As many reviewers have said, the tsubas (the guards) are a bit of a tight fit and thus difficult to put on, but other than that this is a good inexpensive bokken. I would highly recommend this to clubs, beginners, or even experienced practitioners who want a bokken they won't mind breaking.
