Hi. I'm interested in buying this gi in size W1, but it seems like it is out of stock. Do you know when you will have more? Thanks.

I'm giving this gi 4 starts because it's so soft and comfortable, only 4 stars because the size charts are off. I'm 5'3" and weigh 128 lbs so I bought the W1 (smallest available). This gi was WAY too big. I washed and dried on HOT many times hoping it would shrink to fit. No luck. The pants touched the tops of my toes, which I'm not used too, since my other pants come to my ankles and they were very wide. The sleeves extended past my knuckles and were also very wide. While rolling my arms would get lost when my partner would grip my sleeves. I ended up selling this gi which is a bummer, now I have to start shopping all over again and there's just not that many womens gi's available. I wish this gi came in a smaller size (maybe a W0?). There's no way someone 110 lbs. could wear this. Hope this helps someone!! GO ROLL!!

I read a lot about shrinking? How much the W1 Gi will shrink in the washer and dryer?

Since this gi is 100% cotton you can expect roughly a 1 full size shrink (give or take).

Hey I was wondering if someone could answer a question I have about the sizing of this gi. I am right on the line between a W1 and W2 (5'5" and 140lbs). Not sure if I could size up or down?

A think a size w1 would be a good fit. I'd recommend cold wash/hang dry though to avoid shrinking out of the comfort range.

If you like a form fitting gi I would recommend the A1.

Hi bjjgal. If you or someone you know can hem pant legs and sleeves I would recommend the W4. It will be the most comfortable, and when appropriate you can shrink it a little in the wash.

I am thinking W2 since she is still growing and we could shrink it.

A2 is the safer choice since you have the chance to shrink it in the wash. An A1 would probably work too unless she grows out of it.

Is this a single or a double weave gi? I would like something very lightweight for training, so if this one is very heavy/stiff I would like to know! Thank you.

Also, for the belts, is A1 or A2 just a different size?

It's a fairly light training gi, but not a super light gi for competition (like the Vulkan Ultra Light or the Tatami Zero G. A1, A2, etc. are just different sizes. For most people, whatever size you're choosing switch the W to an A and you have your size. So a W2 gi would usually order an A2 belt.

This is my first time buying a gi and have no idea what size to get. I am 6'0, 197lbs and have long arms and legs. Would the W4 be a good size to get?

Since this is your first gi I think the W4 would be a good choice. The reason why is because it will either fit nicely right away or you can do strategic washing to shrink it down a bit.

I recently started Jiu Jitsu and am now looking to purchase a Gi. I am not sure which to get since I am tall and lean (5'8 and 125 lbs) of W1 or W2. Advice?

Hi Cascades. While the W1 would be the most form fitting, I think you'd find it a little short in the sleeves and pant legs. I'd recommend going W2, especially if you experience a little shrinking in the wash.

I just started Jiu Jitsu and fell in love with it. Now, I have to get a uniform required by instructor. So now my search begins. what type of weave is this? I like to go for a gold weave, or whatever is ease and strong for roughness. Also, I am about 5'4 and 180lbs, a big girl I am, would W2 or W3 be good for my size???

You might find a W2 a bit conforming, so a w3 could be the best choice.
