This gi is amazing! This was my second gi since I began shotokan karate. My other one was a century med-weight and overall this has way better functionality to it. It's sturdy, well fitting, has the perfect snap, is cheap, looks awesome and I can go on forever... Incase anyone wanted to know for reference: I am 5'8 155 pounds and size 4 fits perfectly after washing in cold water and hang-drying.

In June I purchased a karate uniform, size 9, for a somewhat different application than martial arts. As part of the admission process of joining an origanization I belong to, the candidate puts on a white uniform. The existing uniforms we have all show twenty plus years of service and wear. Finding new uniforms was very limited and those choices were quite expensive. Where to find an alternative ? After exhausting several avenues I remembered that my son practices the art of Aikido and wears a white uniform.....the answer was right in front of me all the time.
Your uniform was used for the first time last week and has turned out to be a superior replacement over our existing uniforms. This will result in my purchasing additional sizes in the very near future. The quality and quick service of the Karate Depot was much appreciated and my unique application has been happily resolved.

I've trained in this gi for two months now with an average of two advanced, sweat-filled workouts per week. Only a couple workouts had any extensive grabbing/pulling of the lapel. It still looks great, washes well, and is comfortable to train in despite the poly/cotton construction. It has not further shrunk past the first two initial washes. The size chart was accurate for me. There are better gi's, but this one is *very* good for the price. I would purchase it again.
