My bokken snapped in half on the first hit. I was really disappointed in it. I didn't even hit very hard.

I was pleased with this Bokken. I was expecting a unbalanced bulky Bokken, but what I got was a well made Bokken sword. The only problem I had was the guard was very hard to put on. But over all a nice peice of work.

I got this with my ninja suit. I use it to spar against a hardwood bo twice a week and it has not broken yet. The paint still looks good. The handle is slick, I recommend athletic fabric tabe for the handle, it really improves grip. Remember kids, these things are made of wood, so when you bash them as hard as you can against equally hard stuff they tend to break. Training with this improves speed and technique. Don't just go in the woods and start rocking some trees and expect to have this bokken at the end of the day.
