The white wax wood escrima sticks are very durable, almost indestructible. They take an incredible amount of punishment. When they finally do break, they do not break in two pieces with one piece disconnecting from the other and flying away out of control. They have more of a splintering effect in that they tend to stay attached when they break. Both halves stay intact and connected. I find that this is a good safety feature compared to other sticks that I have used.
